The Idealist
Lives by inner values and imagination.
Read a sample letter
You measure things against what feels true and meaningful to you. Gentle and curious, you prefer depth to breadth, keep your options open, and express yourself best in your own time and words.

This is an example, not your result. Your own card follows your answers; close or balanced preferences are explained.
What you get

How it is scored
Each statement leans toward one pole of a dimension. Agreement counts toward that pole, disagreement toward the other. The dominant pole on each dimension forms your type; the lean is shown as a percentage of the possible range.
We only show what the evidence supports: no percentiles or rankings until a reviewed norm exists for your language.
Questions people ask
Is this the official MBTI?
No. It is a free, independent test in the MBTI style: the same four letter pairs, with sixty statements we wrote ourselves and our own type names. The official MBTI® instrument is published by The Myers-Briggs Company, and this site is not affiliated with it.
How accurate is it?
It reports the preferences you describe, on four scales. When a scale lands near the middle we say so instead of forcing a letter, because that letter could come out differently next time.
Can my type change?
Yes. Types describe preferences you report today, and answers shift with mood and circumstance. Treat it as a mirror, not a label.
Do I need an account?
